- used as fishing schooner on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, for coastal commerce, northern Expeditions into the Arctic regions, she carried emigrants to America while her time under the Cape Verdean flag
- mission of her owners today is to preserve, restore and operate the historic ship and to establish educational, cultural and experiential programs in that celebrate human diversity, creativity, value and dignity, program range from dockside programs for any age, daysails for sixth grade and up and five day passage at sea for communities of New England and the Canadian Maritimes
