  • served as a freight-carriing vessel under the name "Landkirchen", sailed in the North and Baltic Sea and across the Atlantic Ocean and around Cape Horn carrying manufactured goods to Chile and returning to Germany with copper ore.
  • 1921 enlarge of the hull.
  • 1930 installation of an engine.
  • after WWII sold at an Allied war auction as a war prize, she remained as freighter under German flag until 1979.
  • 1981 change of the owner and start of the reconstruction to a cruising ship for short voyages in the Caribbean (Martinique, French West Indies), new name "Godewind", after another change of the owner in 1988 she was renamed to "Sir Francis Drake"
  • general overhaul and classification by the US Coast Guard, registered in Equatorial Guinea.
  • lost in Nov. 1999, destroyed by a hurrican (Lenny), when she visited Saint Martin.
