  • built in 1904 at the shipyard Stowe & Son in Shoreham, southern England, originally rigged as a gaff yawl, first name was "Sylvia", originally used as leisure yacht for a rich Englishman.
  • built without an engine, but in about 1912 a 25 hp gasoline engine was installed.
  • exchange of the lead keel by iron during World War II
  • bought by Sjøkorpset Olso (Seascouts), NOR in 1952, conversion of the rigg to a Bermuda ketch, shortening of the masts, continiously considerably restored, used for sail training for young people since.
  • break of the main mast during a sail trip to Skagen, DK in 1965, replacement by a shorter new mast made of laminated wood, after break of the mizzen mast in 1977 this was replaced too.
  • replacement of the entire deck and the stern in 1986.
  • sank after a collision with a fishing boat off Vlissingen, NL; raised and laid up for repair; transported to Fredrikstad, NOR; rebuilding in the Maritime Center Fredrikstad AS.
  • 2004 foundation of the association Mohawks venner (Mohawk’s Friends) to assist Sjøkorpset in practical and ecomomic matters connected to restoring "Mohawk II".
