  • built for the heirs to Johnson & Johnson, designed by W. H. Hand, Jr. as an American fishing schooner, first name was "Zodiac".
  • competed in the Transatlantic Race for the Kings Cup in 1928.
  • used by the San Francisco Bar Pilot organisation during the Depression and later on for 40 years, renamed to "California" decommissioned in 1972.
  • foundation of the Vessel Zodiac Corporation in the late 1970s, who maintains the ship, renamed to "Zodiac", restoration to her original appearance.
  • 1984 placed on the National Register of Historic Places by The United States Department of The Interior.
  • the Northwest Schooner Society sponsors voyages on historic ships and organizes cruises on the schooner "Zodiac" for teens and adults sailing the waters of Puget Sound, San Juan and Gulf Islands.
  • since 2011 registered in Bellingham, WA, USA.
