• built in 1852 by J.W.Riis in Aalborg, but with south Funen design, christened the "De Syv Søskende" ("The seven sisters")
• resident on the island Læsø, since March 1861 registered in Lohals on the island Langeland, used as a sailing cargo vessel, sailed by three generations of ship masters from the same family in the South of the island Fyn, Mr. Niels Sørensen has been the master for 40 years (1861-1901)
• 1918 returned to the Limfjord, change of the name to "Jensine", named for the master Alfred Carl Hansen´s wife Jensine, voyages with cement, in the preserved account books for "Jensine" a tendency towards short voyages can be traced during the period 1918 - 1939
• 1924 fitted with an engine to comply the demands of modern time, new wheel house and steering wheel in 1948
• sold to Oluf Kristian Olsen in 1941, who used the ship mainly for transhipment of freight from ships in Aalborg Harbour to harbours further inside the Limfjord, decommissioned as a freighter in 1960
• there were big plans made by several owners who had started restoration, but all these failed or had to give up
• neglect state and laid up in Copenhagens Harbour, bought by new owners from a second-hand dealer in 1970, arrived in Haderslev in spring of 1971, restoration work was immediately started: new keel and keelson, new timber ribs are inserted where there was room and there are also set several hundred meters of new planking new deck beams, new deck, new hatch, new half deck, new cabin top, and new sky lights, new mast and rigging, new tiller, new bowsprit, the stern has been changed and much more replaced and improved, engine replaced by a 90 hp Caterpillar; fitting out under the deck and set-up of the accommodation... An expenditure of about 300.000 Danish Crones and almost 6 years passed before "Jensine" was ready to sail again.
• today the ship sails every summer in the Danish waters, and apart from being a sailing museum object it is also a good training place in seamanship
• in 1990 The Danish Ships Preservation Trust was established, "Jensine" has been nominated as being a ship especially worthy of maintenance and restoration.
