  • "Mutin", the mutiny man, was built at the shipyard Florimond-Guignardeau in Sables d'Olonne for pilot services in 1926, commissioned on May 18, 1927, although her hull and rigging is quite similar to the tunafish cutters (Dundee Thonier) of the French coast she has never served in the fishery, used by the pilot school of Saint-Servan next to Saint-Malo.
  • during World War II she served under British flag for the resistance against the German occupying forces, i.e. as training ship for agents in the Channel and Mediterranean, after the war she returned to Saint-Servan.
  • based and homeported in Brest since 1964, since 1968 she belongs to the École Navale, the French Marine Academy of Brest, used as a representive and for education purposes in the French Navy.
  • participation in tall-ship gatherings and regattas, calling European ports on the Atlantic coast, i.e. Cutty-Sark-Tall-Ships Races 1995, 1996 and 2002.
