- designed by John Shores (inspired by the Portuguese schooner "Creoula"), a 3-masted traditionally rigged schooner that needed to be strong, seaworthy and easy to handle by a small crew, but with the ability to carry lots of sail with a stronger crew and to be economical to build and maintain.
- keel laid in Wivenhoe, Essex, GBR on the banks of the river Colne, launched in 1994.
- since 2005 she offers hands on sailing holidays, sailed several round Britain voyages, often via Norway, and to the Arctic circle, takes part in the tall-ships races of the STI.
- named after the Trinovantes, a pre-Roman celtic tribe in the East England area (Essex, Suffolk) which fought with Boudicca, the famous British queen against the Romans (60-61 AD).
